MFT Dienamics Cover plate Dies

Hello All,

Today I'm sharing with you some quick cards I made using the MY Favourite Things Dienamic cover plate dies and Mama Elephant Happy Birthday Dies.

All four cards took a total of and hour and a half to make so they are quick effective cards
that you can make in an emergency.

I used plain coloured card stock and
used  'stick it' for the die cut happy birthday die

This card used Triangle Screen

This one uses Four Way Chevron Cover Plate

This one uses Stripes Cover Plate

This one uses the Chevron Cover plate

These cover plates are quite fun to use and I now to to buy some of the other ones.
There's some other fun techniques you can do with these
which I'll be trying out in the future

Have fun playing

Purple Onion Designs Stamps

Hello All,

Today I'm sharing with you a card I made for a friend at work who recently moved.

I saw this card on pinterest by The Daily Marker using Purple Onion Designs Stamps
So I immediately bought the stamps as I could see so many uses for it.

This card is inspired by The Daily Marker

Kathy has lots of awesome cards at her blog The Daily Marker,
please go and look at them as I'm sure they'll inspire you too.

Thinking of you card

Hello all,

Sadly I had to make a sympathy card for a friend who's parent had passed away.

I wanted a simple elegant card as I've never made a sympathy card before.

I used the Altenew vintage flowers stamp
and the sentiment from MFT wildflowers stamps.

Birthday Card

Hello all,

Today I'm sharing with you a birthday card I made recently.
When these dies came out by Lawn Fawn and the stamps by Mama Elephant I knew I had to use them together.

These are fab dies and gorgeous stamps to use.
I can see myself using them a lot more in lots of different ways.

My Favourite Things Blueprints Dies

Hello All,

Today I'm sharing with you some cards I've made with the Blueprints dies that My Favourite Things make. I have all of the blueprints but to my shame I haven't used them all. So I decided that I needed to use them all.

First one is using Blueprints 1 and the gnome stamps.

The next card I used Blueprints 3

The next one I used Blueprints 5

Lastly I used Blueprints 6

I used my first edition papers for all of the cards.
As you can see I've barely started to use this dies to their full potential. Look for more of my posts where I will be using more of the blueprint dies.

Have fun playing

A Birthday card for Amanda

Today I'm sharing a card I've made for my Crafty friend Amanda.
She has an awesome blog and is a great enabler.
You can find her blog here.

Back to the card.
Amanda has been posting a few cards where she has used
the MFT peekaboo trio die.
I have this die and the four circle peekaboo die and I hadn't used them.
Well I thought I'd better use them asap.

Amanda loves Pandas.
So when I saw this stamp set from Mama Elephant
I had to buy it.
I will probably use it on various things for Amanda lol.
I used the lawn fawn stitched large squares.

Fingers crossed she likes it.

That's all from me today.

Herd you had a birthday

Well it's time for another card.
My son had a birthday party to go to so I thought I'd better make a card.

As soon as I saw these images on cards I knew I had to buy them.
They are cute and I love the puns in the set.

Here's the card

I used card from my stash and inked the sky with distress ink.
I coloured the cows in with my prismas.
Everything else is by MFT
The grass die is fab has it comes with two different lengths.
The fence is cute and it also comes with a thin wiggly line.
Just be careful with this one as it's so thin you may misplace it.
The cows are part of a set that has a horse, cow, pig and so on.

I hope you like this card.

I'm entering this into the Handmade Bliss monthly challenge.

Items used

Tim Holtz distress ink Tumbled Glass
Prisma pencils
MFT - Birdie Brown the whole herd stamps
         Die-Namics grassy edges
         Die-namics rolling hills

Another Birthday Card

Well today I'm showing you a birthday card made for a friend.
It's a bright cheerful card.

I used a couple of different stamp sets for this.
The chicken wire background stamp is by MFT.
The hexagonals are by Stampin Up
I used the stampin up punch to punch the hexagonals out.
The Happy Birthday is a die but I can't remember who it's made by.
I used the Hero Arts Ombre ink for the background.
The hexagonals were stamped using the new Ranger dye inks and the
Lawn Fawn dye inks.

Hope you like it.

A Friends Birthday Gift

I have another project I made recently for a friends birthday to show you.

First I'll show you the card I made

The stamps are Paper Smooches Chubby Chums.
I coloured them with my Prisma pencils.
I used MFT horizontal stitched strips.
Paper is from my stash as is the ribbon.

I also decided to make a tag for Sandra.
She is a big Tim Holtz fan (who isn't hehe)
So I decided that it would have lots of Tim Holtz bits on it.

Everything on the tag is from the Tim Holtz range.
I had to colour the Crazy Birds for her as I know she loves them.
I used the Prima watercolor pencils for the birds.

I'm quite pleased at the moment as I have a lot of stash that I haven't used yet
like stamps and dies. I'm determined to use every stamp and die
at least once. Quite a challenge but with the last few things I've made I've
used a few stamps and dies.
You'll see the bits I've made as I post them.

A challenge accepted

Well the crafting bug has certainly returned. Woohoo!
My friend Kay and I decided that we would both alter a tag and swap it once we'd altered it.
It was a wooden tag found in the pound shop.

I'm afraid I forgot to take a before photo.

So here is mine that I sent to Kay.

I used some plain red card stock I had and stamped it with Altenew Hennah Elements.
The girl is one of the Prima dolls.
I then added some Tim Holtz embellishments and some flowers.

It was fun to make.
I'll post at a later date the tag Kay makes for me.

Hope you like it.

First post of 2015

Well a belated Happy New Year to you all.
It's been a while since I've posted on my blog. My mojo has been away.
It hasn't stopped me from buying various craft bits and pieces but I haven't really been using them.
I have also got a new desk in my craft space and will post pictures of it on another post at a later date.
I may even attempt a video.

Well I finally made a card and it's fun and colourful.

The main stamp is by Stamping Bella and the ink splodges are by MFT.
I had a bit of fun making this card.

I have also been to a few needle felting classes in the last couple of months
with my crafty friend Kay.
Joan Prowse runs the classes at Liberty Crafts in Exmouth, Devon
They are thoroughly enjoyable.
Kay and I do make a bit of noise but so far she hasn't banned us from her classes lol.

The first is a seascape class.

I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.
This then led to a more recent class where we made a Rabbit and a Sheep

I love my sheep. I will be making him a friend soon.

My rabbit I think could do with some work but he does have character lol.

Of course he has attempted to ride the sheep as he's a bit of a mischievous boy.

Well that's my progress up to date.
I have missed blogging so I'm determined to start posting at least once a week.

I have set myself a challenge I am going to go through all of my stamps and make cards using each one.
I have lots of stamps that I've brought but haven't used yet.
I can imagine a few of us stampers are in that position lol.

I will keep you up to date.

Happy Crafting
Kelly xx
