13 days of Halloween Day 12

Hi all,

Day 12 at Simply Challenged Challenges had to have a house somewhere on the project.

I decided to add houses to the background of my card. I have a MS punch of a haunted house and thought it would be perfect.

Here is the card

I hope you like it.

House Mouse

Today is the beginning of the House Mouse week over at Stamp N Craft UK. The DT are all going to be using the House Mouse stamps in lots of different ways.
I chose to use the stamps called Love / Snuggle up.
I thought this image could be use for all different occasions.
I chose to make mine using a summer theme. Despite it getting colder I thought I'd brighten us all up.
Here is my card

You can find these stamps at Stamp N Craft in Yeovil, Somerset.

I hope you like this card.

13 Days of Halloween Day 11

Well two more days left after today's challenge at Simply Challenged Challenges
Today we had to incorporate the colours orange, yellow and white or caramel and lime green.
We can use black card as a base.
I chose the combo orange, yellow and white.
Here is my card

The sentiment is embossed in orange, but doesn't show so well in the picture.

I hope you like today's card.

13 Days of Halloween Day 10

Well I've managed to keep up with all of the challenges so far at Simply Challenged Challenges and they have been challenges. It's been good for the Mojo though.
Day 10's challenge was to take a non Halloween stamp and turn it into a favourite Movie ghoul, ghost, witch or scary persona.
It took me a little while to think of my character. In the end I chose to do Dr Jekyll from Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. I thought this image showed Dr Jekyll process of making his formula to turn him into Mr Hyde.
Here is my card.

The papers are from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Halloween stack.

I hope you liked this card.
I only have 3 more days left to complete, so check back over the weekend to see what I do for Day 11

Boo - We surprised you Betty

Today we are having a Halloween bloghop. Katrina from the Simply Betty Stamps fan page on facebook decided that as there's a few of us in the U.K who love Betty's stamps and Halloween  it was a good idea, using Simply B stamps, that we showed that we can do Halloween in the U.K too.
We wanted to surprise Betty as she works really hard on all of the Digis and we just love her and her creations.
You should have arrived here from Jill. If not you can start the hop at Corinne's.

Here is my card.

I love this image. It reminds me of Teen wolf.

Here is the full blog hop list, so if you get lost on the way you can catch up.

Your next stop is Tracey
Enjoy the rest of the hop

13 Days of Halloween - Day 8

For Day 8 of the 13 Days of Halloween at Simply Challenged Challenges we had to incorporate skeletons in our project and only use black and white.

I've made a card using two Simply B stamps. One was a freebie on the Facebook fan page a few months ago and one was from the latest release. I thought they would be great together as two brothers trick and treating. Here's my card

To give it some texture I embossed with white Wow powder the moon and all the skeleton buts on the boys.
The background is a digi by Make it Crafty.

I hope you like my card today.

Chocolate Baroque - Damask reindeer

Well what did you think of our first assignment yesterday for Stamp N Craft? I think we all did a fabulous job. All different takes on one stamp set. A job well done.
This week we will be using lots of different sets from the Chocolate Baroque range. I chose to work with the Damask Reindeer set. This set comprises of 12 / 13 stamps One stamp you could separate into two sentiments. You have three gorgeous Reindeer of different sizes and different patterns on their bodies. There's 5/ 6 sentiments, two snowflakes in two sizes, a star and a scene with trees, moon, reindeer and snowflakes on it.
This is a gorgeous stamp set and I'm about to show you what I made. I've made three cards. They are all on the Clean and Simple trend.

This card is a 6 x 6 square card. I stamped and embossed the deer twice. One piece of card I cut to 5 1/2 inches x 5 1/2 inches.I cut out the deer and  I embossed the snowflakes all over it. The second image I stuck straight down onto the card. The tricky part is putting it together. I used foam squares to make the card with the image cut out standout from the image. Lining it up is the tricky part, if it's not lined up properly the image doesn't stand out and doesn't sit the cut out. I've put some gems on the deer to finish it off.

This is quite a quick card. It uses the 4 inches x 4 inches cards. I stamped directly onto the card and emboss it in gold. This is very quick and if you have a lot of cards to make this is quite versatile to use.

This one again uses the 4 x 4 inch card. I've stamped and embossed the snowflakes all over it. Another clean and simple card.

All crafty bits used can be purchased at Stamp N Craft.

Well I hope my cards inspire you to have a play. Tomorrow is the turn of Angie of Angie's Inky Finger's
Can't wait to see what Angie makes. Angie is using a different Stamp set by Chocolate Baroque

Stamp N Craft and Scrappers Delights

Today I'm sharing with you my First Dt post for Stamp N Craft and it's also the next challenge for Scrappers delight.

First I'll share with you the card I've made for my post airing at Stamp N Craft.
The Dt are introducing themselves and we are all using the Harlequin Christmas Chocolate Baroque  stamp set to make our cards. Here is the card I made

I went for the Clean and Simple look. The snowflakes are from another Chocolate Baroque stamp set that I'll be sharing with you tomorrow. I used wow powder in white for the snowflakes and the baubles I stamped in gold ink. You can find all the bits I used to make my card at Stamp N craft shop. The website will be up and running soon and I'll keep you posted when it is. I've already seen it and it's looking fab and is easy to navigate.

Today is also the start of the new challenge at Scrapper's Delights.
We have a sketch to follow for this challenge.
Here's the sketch

Here's my card

Scrappers Delight

Today I'm sharing with you a quick card I made using a Scrapper's Delight digi. I wanted to show how you can crop your digi's to get a different feel to the digi. Here's the card

I've used pastel colours for this card. I've cropped the digi so you just see her face and wings. You could crop it more and have just the face. I crop it in word. I insert image and then crop once I've chosen my image. It's part of the format bar for pictures. Here's a close up of the image

The full image looks like this

You can see how it looks different and can then be used as something other than a autumn style card.
You can purchase this digi here

I hope you like this card. It's a bit different to all of the Halloween creations I've been making lately.

13 Days of Halloween Day 5

Today is the start of day 5 of the 13 Days if Halloween at Simply Challenged challenges
Today's theme is What a wicked web we weave .
I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I had some canvas's and I had some glowing spiders.
I painted the canvas black, weaved my own spider web, added some die cut webs and some spiders, added an Evil Queen  and voila one project I can put on my front door for Halloween.

Here it is in daylight

Here it is glowing

A close up of the spiders

A close up of my Evil Queen

I thought the sentiment Trick or Treat went well with this image as depending which way you look at her the apple could be a treat and the potion a trick or vice versa.
I hope you like my canvas

13 Days of Halloween Day 4

Today I'm sharing with you my project that I've made for Simply Challenged Challenges
The task for Day 4 was that the creation had to glow.
Well when I was shopping I found a cauldron and thought I could make it glow using the liquid from inside a glow stick.
I consulted my hubby who then took it a step further and said we could make it smoke too.
Well it did that and more. I can't thank my hubby enough for helping me. My children loved it as we were experimenting with it in the garden.
So here it is

Isn't it cool. My Hubby is already thinking about how we can use a larger cauldron and to make it smoke continously for Halloween. Here it is in it's stages.

Take one cauldron. Add water.

Add glow stick liquid, plus an eyeball and London stirring her cauldron. Here it is before the smoke.

Add a smoke pellet and Voila a glowing/ smoking cauldron

Well I hope you like this project. I can't wait to see what Day 5 brings in the 13 Days of Halloween.

P.S Thank you for all of the fab comments I've received for all of my creations. I really appreciate them. I do check them first has I've had some spam ones recently. So if they don't show up straight away It's because I'm not near a computer.

13 Days of Halloween Day 3

Well it's day 3 of the 12 Days of Halloween at Simply Challenged Challenges. The theme for this one is Where's my mummy, so we have to wrap something up and to use gauze, bandages etc on it.

Well I immediately wanted to make a mini doll using one of the teen digi's. I printed the image onto canvas and sewed a little doll. I used stuffing from a toy that was heading towards the bin. Here it is

I then needed to make something for her to go into. I suddenly had this idea of a coffin. It's made out of mount board. Here it is closed.

Of course the main decoration is inside as I wanted it to be a bit of a surprise when you opened the coffin.

I think it's rather cool. There's bandages behind her and a spider keeping her company.

I hope you like this project. Don't forget to check back and look at day 3 of the Preview of the stamps being released on Friday.

Secret Release 3 Bloghop

Hello,
Today is the secret release 3 bloghop. Betty from Simply B stamps did a secret digi release last week. I managed to have enough funds to get them. They are fab. Betty and Corinne thought it would be fun if we all took part in a bloghop showing what we've made with the secret release. Unfortunately they are not available in digi form anymore, but they will be available as rubber stamps on Friday.

You should have arrived here from Katie  . If you came straight here you can start the hop at Betty's.

This beauty is called Little Dark Homemaker. Well I decided to make it a bit bright and breezy rather than dark as every villain has a small soft side, right!

Here is a close up of the image

Isn't she stunning. I can see I will use her quite a lot. I think I could even colour her in pastel colours too.

Well I hope you've enjoyed the bloghop. Don't forget you can get hold of these stamps on Friday 12th October.
Your next stop is Sharon
