Tilda with Kite

Morning all,
Did you enjoy the bloghop yesterday? There were some fab creations from our teams. Don't forget it's running all week so there's still a chance to win some great giveaways. Well onto my card today. I have had this stamp for quite a while and it hasn't been inked up till today. I know naughty isn't it. It's a tricky stamp as until I had these papers that were a freebie from a magazine I really didn't know how to arrange her.
These papers are gorgeous. Really bright and summery. I used spellbinders dies. It's a little bit annoying as they're not nesting very well and they should.
For tilda I used my copic sketch markers. Kite YR07, YR18,E55, Y18. Trousers/ Socks B24, B26, B21. Top /shoes R24, R27, R29. Skin E11, E21, E00, R20. Hair YR20, YR21, E31.
I'm becoming more confident when using my copics now. Getting to know light to dark etc. I still have quite a way to go but hopefully I'll get there.
Thank you to Sheila for having me today at She's a Sassy Lady.

I haven't quite finished my cards yet. If I'm honest I sort of lost interest once I coloured the images. I'm hoping to rectify that tomorrow. I thought I'd share my DT tag with you for Just Inspirational challenges. This week we are sponsored by Fresh Brewed Designs.

Here is a close up of the owls. I usd my copics to colour them in. I used colours RV19, RV34, BG15, BG32.

For the bunting I used my stampin up punch. It's my new toy. I coloured the outside of the flag and the hearts with RV19.

I hope you like my tag. I had a lovely day yesterday, my hubby gave me some vouchers for my local craft shop. It's the first time he's ever brought anything for me craft related. I was grinning from ear to ear. I'm hoping a trip there tomorrow will kick start my mojo for the images I need to make into cards.

Mono colours

Good Morning,

All over the U.K there's been snow apart from where I live, we had about an inch of snow last night. Not enough to make a snowman though. Today I thought I'd share with you how I pick my copic colours especially when I'm trying to keep the colours in one tone (technical term is Monochromatic colouring).

When I got my sketch markers, the first thing I did was download a colourable colour chart from the copic website. (there is a updated one that has the new 2012 colours on, I just need to colour it in). This chart is great as everything is in it's colour family and you can see at a glance which colours go together.

I have some images that I've coloured to show how I used the colours. Except for the hair and skintone of course. All the images are by Saturated Canary.

The left image was coloured in using colours from the RV section. The right image was from the BG section.

The left R section and the right the B section.

The top image was from the BV section and the bottom image is from the R section.

Tomorrow I will making these images into card. Most of the time I choose my papers first then colour the image in whilst comparing the paper colours to my chart. This time I just wanted to colour in with no restrictions. I have lots of plain coloured card stock, so I'm sure if I don't have any papers that I can make my own using embossing folders, stamps etc.

Thank you Pam for having me today at The Bugbytes

Hi all,
It's that challenge time for The Crazy Challenge. This weeks theme is Fairies / things with wings.
We are sponsored by Dts Art this week .

Here is my card for this weeks challenge. I thought this digi was uite cute. I tried my Tim Holtz distress tool for the first time on this card.

This week the card photographed beautifully. I have a little light station that I brought from Amazon. It's fab. Thoroughly recommend it. You can make your own and there are tutorials on the web for making your own.

This week I will be posting some cards I've made plus I'm hoping to finish off my tag mini.

Happy Monday

Hi all,
Hope you are well. Here is this weeks challenge for Just Inspirational Challenges. This week we have a photo and a sketch to follow/inspire us. We're sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs. They have some fab stamps including the one on my card.

Here's the picture. I thought it had a very steampunk feel to it.

I hope you like it
