Tressa, a Princess

Hi all,
Today over at The Crazy Challenge we are sponsored by Saturated Canary. By entering a card you could win 2 digis of your choice from Krista's etsy shop. The theme this week is flowers. The stamp I used is called Tressa, a Princess. It's a gorgeous stamp. I teamed it up with a flower stamp that came free with a magazine. I think you can see they go really well together.

Here is a close up of Tressa. The details in the stamp are stunning.

Here's a close up of Tressa and the flowers. I used my copic sketch markers to colour them in. I'm still learning with these pens, but do love the colours.

ATC mini book

Hi all,
Today I thought I'd share with you a mini album I made. I'm involved in a Round Robin atc swap. We each make a folder and an atc. We then send this onto the next person in the list. We make a atc for each of the folders we receive. Eventually I'll have this one back full of atc's made by the others in the round robin. I found this book here . This is where all of the scoring measurments are. It is made from one piece of 12 x 12 card. Very quick and easy to do.

Here's my sheet of paper. You can see on the left I've already folder over one pocket and I taped the other side ready to fold over. I took this so you could see how this step works. You then fold it up. I then cut holes along the spine of the album and threaded ribbon through to hold it together.

Here is the first two pages and the atc I made. I wanted my atc to match my album. I can't wait to see the other atc's.
Here it is in the first pocket. I hope you have a quick go at this mini album as you could put tickets or photos in the pockets instead of atc's. You could even store stamped images in the pockets. Thanks Sheila for having me today at She's a sassy lady.

Hi all,
Today at The Crazy Challenge we have a theme and it's Vintage. This week we are sponsored by The stamping Boutique

We had some wonderful images from the Stamp Boutique and this image was one of my favourites. I tried to colour it in darker to add to the vintage feel of the paper. I coloured the seam binding with the same copic marker that was the closest colour that I had had to the Kraft card.

I hope you're enjoying my dt projects. I will be making bits that aren't dt related and will be posting them soon. If there's anything that you'd like to see as a tutorial or a technique you're unsure of leave me a comment and I'll see what I can do. I hope you like my new blog template. Purple is one of my favourite colours. It seems to calm my soul x

Vintage Tag

Hi all,

Today it's the start of another challenge over at The Crazy Challenge. This week we're playing Tic Tac Toe. You need to choose three in a row but it has to include the image in your selection.

We're sponsored by Digi Doodle Shop. They have some fabulous digi stamps.

Here is my DT card. I chose Ribbon/Lace and Gems/Pearls. This week I made a tag rather than a card.

Here's a close up of the 1930's lady. I made sure the colours I used complimented the paper I used.

Here is the top of the tag. I added some charms a clock and a sewing ream.

I hope you liked my tag this week.

My desk

Hi all,
Today I thought I'd share with you my crafting space. Everybody has a different set up. Some have amazing craft rooms. I'm not lucky enough to have my own craft room. I thought I'd share with you the little space I have. I'm sorry it is a bit picture heavy.

This is my desk. It sits in an alcove next to the fireplace. It's just over a meter wide. Above it I have a shelf , under it some bits and next to it a bathroom cabinet.

Firstly all my tools are close to hand in this. This is to the left of my chair. I've jammed it full of all the bits I may need.

It sits on a bathroom cabinet. In the cupboard are some books, my 6 x 6 paper pads, cd's and my coloured paperbags.

To the right of my desk I have my copics. These will change though as I'm going to get a Ikea rail to put under the shelf with buckets to put my copics in. As you can see my heat gun is ready to use. There's a hole at the far right corner of the desk which is where the extension goes down to the plug socket.

On my shelf I have my alcohol inks, stickles, and my most used punches.

Here are my Martha stewart punches, ink pads and glue.

Here are my guillotines. In the box is all of my sticky gems ready to hand.

This is to the left of my working area. It'd got my Gypsy, xyron, ribbons for colouring in, and my distress ink storage unit (the white box to the left of the picture)

Here is the inside of my distress ink storage. They are made over in the U.K. I've painted mine and that's as far as I've got with it as yet. Great to just pick up and take to a crop.

Under my desk is a magazine rack. It has, cards, enevelopes and paperbags in the bottom. On the top are some boxes with scraps of paper in and flowers.

In the coloured draws is my adhesives, shaving brushes and my card for my copics.

On the other side of the room I have some shelves. This have my stamps on in the cd boxes. There's also my promarkers and tria's.

At the other end of the shelf are some more stamps, pastels, my prisma pencils, gilding flakes and a tu that has my perfect pearls etc in.

Well I think I've made quite a good use of the little space I have. I do have cupboards that have my 12 x 12 papers in etc but I'll save that for another day. You can tell I have a very supportive husband who doesn't seem to mind putting shelves up and making me cupboards.

I hope you enjoyed and maybe gained some ideas for your own space no matter how big or small it is

Challenge 11

Hi all,
This week at Just Inspirational challenges we are sponsored by

Here is the inspirational photo for this week. Some nice strong bright colurs in this weeks photo.

Here is my take on the picture.

I picked out the blues, pinks and oranges for my card. I chose a simple card layout to do and I think it's quite a spring / summery card. I hope you like it and can come and join us at Just Inspirational Challenges. We are also having a DT call at the moment too.

Good Luck to those that enter

Here is my card for this week. I've chosen peaches to go with the backing paper.

Here is a close up of the image. Isn't she fab.

This is the first time I've put hat pins with a flower on a card. Hopefully you'll like it as much as I was pleased with the attempt.

Another shot of the card.

I promise I'm going to start taking proper photos of my cards in the daytime. I had to take these at night. I hope you liked my first card for The Crazy Challenge.

Monday, 2 January 2012

Hi all,

I thought I'd tell you about my challenges I have for 2012. I thought I'd have goals rather than resolutions as they will seem more reachable.

I challenge my self to :-

1. Make more cards in advance. (I'm going to pay myself a £1 for each card I make and save it. This'll pay for more stash when I go to craft shows etc).

2. Sort through stash and donate/ sell bits I'm not going to use.

3. Scrapbook more, make more mini's etc.

4. Use my papers and not just stroke them. (this'll be hard)

5. Keep blog more up to date, at least 3 times a week.

6. Enter more blog challenges.

7. Use the stamps not just collect them

8. Learn to sketch

9. Dedicate time to crafting.

10. Keep going towards my weight goal.

Well there's a lot more I could add. I'd like to say I live up to the challenge I've set myself by the end of 2012.

What are your challenges/goals for 2012?
